Newsletter 2020-07-14-E: Network meeting in extraordinary times

Dear << Test First Name >> << Test Last Name >>,
During the last few months, much that we took for granted has suddenly changed. The times can well be described as extraordinary, and tend to shift our assumptions. At the same time, inertia is also evident in many places. Change needs impetus, but also time and continuous effort.
We have observed that the application for the Capital of Culture has set a lot in motion and we hope that the process will continue to release lots of positive energy. For this to work, we must all continue to work well together and never let the goal slip out of sight. Our path is a long one.
We want it to works out well, and will therefore meet again shortly. Now we can’t go to the pub in the current situation—but we can make best use of the summer for that purpose and see each other out in open air.
We are looking forward to seeing you all on 28 July in the park Rosenau!
Warm regards,
#NUE2025

Adapted application timing and procedure

Some time ago, the office administering the application presented a modified schedule to reflect current realities. Now, the second application book does not have to be submitted this month, but may be handed in by 21 September. The jury will visit Nuremberg on 23 October; from 26-28 October they will meet and announce the result on the last of these days. On that day, we will know which will be the German Capital of Culture in 2025.
You can find the overview in our updated blog post (unfortunately German only).
